🌿 Ash Wood
Color & Tone: Light cream to pale beige, sometimes with subtle yellow or brown undertones. It tends to stay lighter in tone compared to oak, offering a more neutral base.
Grain Pattern: Straight, pronounced grain but less busy than oak. Often compared to oak in structure, but the grain tends to be more uniform and less coarse.
Figure & Variation: Ash has less dramatic contrast within the grain, which makes it appear cleaner and more subtle. Some boards can have darker streaks, but overall it feels lighter and airier.
Overall Look: Bright, clean, and contemporary. It lends itself well to modern, Scandinavian, or minimalist interiors. Its lighter color helps make spaces feel open and airy.
🌳 Red Oak
Color & Tone: Typically ranges from light to medium brown with a strong reddish hue. Over time, the reddish undertone becomes more pronounced, giving it a warm and classic appearance.
Grain Pattern: Very prominent and open grain, with strong cathedral-like arches. This makes red oak look bold and traditional. The grain is coarse, which can give the door surface texture even after finishing
With the Lola Arch Solid HARDWOOD Entry Door, you get more than just an entrance; you create a warm and inviting welcome. Ideal for those who value quality and aesthetic appeal, the Lola door’s solid oak build ensures both long-lasting durability and visual charm, making it a top choice for discerning homeowners.
🌺 Rose Gum
Color & Tone:
Rose Gum features soft pink to pale reddish-brown tones with warm undertones that deepen beautifully over time. The natural colouring gives it a refined and inviting appearance.
Grain Pattern:
Generally straight-grained with a smooth, even texture. The grain is subtle yet elegant, creating a softer and more consistent finish compared to oak.
Figure & Variation:
Rose Gum often displays gentle colour variation throughout the timber, adding natural character without overwhelming the overall look. Its fine texture provides a clean and polished appearance when finished.
Overall Look:
Warm, sophisticated, and versatile. Rose Gum suits both contemporary and classic interiors, offering a balance of natural warmth and understated elegance. Its smooth finish and softer grain make it ideal for creating a refined architectural statement.
Specifications and Instal
A note on raw wood doors: Unfinished timber is naturally variable — grain, density, and porosity can differ from board to board, which means stain can absorb unevenly and highlight blotching or colour variation. We recommend applying a wood conditioner (pre-stain conditioner) before staining. It helps the timber absorb stain more evenly, softening the contrast between grain patterns for a smoother, more consistent finish.
Please Note: No hardware included with Door.
